During law school, Mr. Armistead was member and Articles & Notes Editor of two journals:
FSU Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law and the FSU Business Review.
Will represents private and governmental entities in all areas of civil litigation including tort claims, employment discrimination defense, breach of contract, construction law, land use, professional negligence and various other causes of action. He joined the firm in 2016.
Prior to joining Coppins Monroe, Will worked in Atlanta, Georgia and Lakeland, Florida for a national chemical manufacturing company. After graduation from law school, Will worked as an Assistant State Attorney in Tampa, trying a number of misdemeanor and felony criminal jury trials. In 2012, Will moved to Tallahassee to work with the Florida Attorney General’s Office in the Consumer Protection Division where he focused on consumer privacy, data breaches, and multi-state investigations of national and multinational corporations.
Will is married to Kimmie, also an attorney, and has two sons – who give him an excuse to watch cartoons. Will and his wife teach 1st and 2nd grade Sunday school at Faith Presbyterian Church, where they are members. He enjoys running, live music, and all things FSU.
AWARDS & ASSOCIATIONS:
Will is a member of the William H. Stafford Inn of Court, the Florida Bar’s Consumer Protection Committee, and the Tallahassee Bar Association. In 2014, he achieved certification by the International Association of Privacy Professionals by demonstrating a deep knowledge of privacy laws, regulations, and policies.
